As a Creative Director at Stone, you are a senior creative leader responsible for setting and elevating the creative bar across brand and packaging work. You bring vision, taste, and strategic clarity to every engagement—guiding teams toward braver, smarter work that delivers meaningful business results for our clients.
You lead designers day-to-day, partner closely with Design Directors, and report into the Executive Creative Director. This is a directional role—you are not in the weeds on every deliverable, but you step in when it matters most: shaping ideas, sharpening craft, and ensuring the work delivers on both brand ambition and business impact. Ensuring strategy is implemented from beginning to end to create category disruption and distinction is paramount.
You co-lead client relationships alongside strategy and account partners, helping clients see what’s possible while building trust through confident creative leadership. You are deeply invested in Stone’s creative point of view—shaping how we show up in the work, with clients, and within the broader industry.
A CPG, packaging, or brand-driven background is mandatory for this role.

• Set and uphold the creative vision across multiple brand and packaging engagements simultaneously, ensuring consistency, quality, and distinction across all work.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire designers—partnering with Design Directors to grow talent, strengthen craft, and build creative confidence across the team.
• Co-lead client relationships, serving as a trusted creative partner who can translate strategy into compelling, results-driven brand solutions.
• Push the creative bar relentlessly—challenging teams (and clients) to think bigger, work smarter, and deliver braver outcomes.
• Step into hands-on creative direction when it matters most: key moments of ideation, concept refinement, presentations, and critical reviews.
• Ensure work connects creative excellence through to strategy to create measurable business impact, helping clients unlock growth through brand and packaging.
• Shape and evolve Stone’s creative POV—contributing to thought leadership, internal standards, and how we define great work as a studio.
• Stay deeply fluent in culture, design, and category trends within CPG and adjacent spaces, applying insight with intention—not trend-chasing.
• 9–12+ years of experience in branding and design, ideally within a creative or branding agency
• Proven background in CPG, packaging, and brand systems (required)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative direction, brand thinking, and high-level craft across multiple mediums
• Experience leading designers and directing work at a senior level
• Exceptional presentation, storytelling, and client communication skills
• Ability to guide work from strategic foundation through execution and launch
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; awareness of emerging creative tools and technologies, AI Proficiency considered as an asset
• Strong point of view paired with openness—able to challenge ideas while fostering collaboration
• Confidence balancing creative ambition with real-world constraints and business objectives
