Bridgewater
The Bridgewater is the bar & restaurant of The Golden Hotel, tucked alongside Golden’s Clear Creek and witness to a rich history of prospectors, miners, brewers and builders. The creek and the hotel remain connectors of Golden’s lively community today. So when the Bridgewater was ready to make its renewed vision of “Find Life’s Riches” a reality, the visual identity system needed to feel elevated yet never out of reach, welcome both visitors and locals, and be both timeless and forward-looking.
Hospitality, Identity, Design, Art Direction, Strategy

The Bridgewater's name, location and role as community hub all came alive in the design. The arc of the B is a call to the nearby bridge, while the typography’s flow matches the creek’s natural movement. You can see swirls and eddies in the graphic elements, signaling constant motion and evolution, while the deep blue and weathered gold anchor the identity in substance.
Even the tactical pieces of design — like telling people where the Bridgewater is located — became an opportunity to reflect the waves of the creek and keep the story flowing. That interlocking type element inspired the design of an interior steel staircase, adding a physical touchpoint to tie the environment together.

With a visual identity established, bringing it to life across menus, signage, barware and beyond confirmed the flexibility and connection we had in mind for the total system. And there’s one more connection to make — The Golden Hotel will undergo its own design refresh in the coming year. When complete, the total package will represent a leap forward for a timeless place on Golden’s two main arteries, Clear Creek and Washington Avenue, creating an intersection of locals and visitors, elegance and warmth, old and new.
