Before a single shovel hit the dirt, the dreamers building a co-working space/food hall/bar/hangout in Golden, Colorado asked us for some design ideas. Faced with a blank slate, we started with a story. We imagined Morris and his granddaughter Mae as adventurous souls heading West to dig for gold and dinosaur bones.

Creating an old story in a new place
Morris + Mae’s journey West included sketches of the flora and fauna they would have seen on the road to Colorado. We created custom illustrations to make the space come alive with Mae’s scrapbook drawings, allowing present-day travelers to discover and relive the adventure
From Menus to Murals
We did more than design a logo. We created a world of depth and character, giving purpose to our designs and building a story around two characters we’ve never met, but feel like we know well.
